These are the best cars you will find in the market |

The cars seating seven have always been an exception in the market. They were almost always station wagons or relatives who could have a third row of seats (Peugeot 504, Citroën CX or Mercedes E-Class, to name the most famous). Then that offer was progressively disappearing from the market until the arrival of the minivans (or MPV) and large SUVs. Currently, almost all generalist brands, including premium brands, have more than a seven-seat model in their catalog. However, now they are all MPV and SUV, with the only exception of a fastback sedan (Tesla Model S). With more than 30 models on the market (more than 40 if we include the derivatives of industrial vehicles), it is not an easy task to decide on a model. Obviously, you can always choose one of the leading models in its segment, such as the Citroën C4 Grand Picasso, but they are not always the ideal model for everyone. Therefore, more than a list of leaders is also about the alternatives that exist in the market. This selection, based on our tests, will help you. The cheapest seven-seater cars Making this selection of models, it is clear that seven-seater cars are in the upper part of the market: the vast majority of models exceed 25,000 euros (if even a Renault Grand Kangoo base goes from 20,000 euros ...) . In this context it is even more difficult to find a new model of seven seats that is affordable. But do not panic, there are three models that are below 20,000 euros. Dacia Lodgy Stepway Logically, we did not find here with the low cost champion: Dacia. The Romanian firm offers the Lodgy, a model halfway between the station wagon and the minivan. The range, as always in Dacia, is limited: two gasoline engines and two diesel (with powers between 90 and 110 hp) ranging from 11,370 euros (the cheapest of the seven seats in the market) to 16,030 euros from Dacia Lodgy Stepway equipped with the 110 hp dCi engine, our favorite of the range. Toyota Verso Below 20,000 euros, the Toyota Verso is only available with the 132 hp 1.6 hp engine. But for something else - from 20,300 euros to 21,850 euros - we find the 1.6 liter diesel variants of 111 hp and 1.8 liter petrol of 147 hp associated with the automatic change of continuous variation. The Toyota Verso is still one of the best cheap mpv cars (4.46 m) capable of offering the best compromise between dynamism and comfort, flattering finishes, a very correct standard equipment and seven seats. MPV, the classic solution Until not long ago, the MPV were cars whose design was dictated by the function rather than by the forms, hence the term of MPV to designate them. Even the marketing departments decided to make them MPV, for "Multi Purpose Vehicle", in English, and position them as cars for everything: for the family, for athletes, for professionals, for those who like to drive, etc. Even so, they have been losing ground to the SUV, but they have the immense advantage of having been developed from the start to have seven seats. This allows them to have correct luggage compartments in the configuration of rows of seats and an interior space superior to SUVs of similar dimensions.
